The effect of Myoril Maxx Tablet may vary from person to person, but it usually lasts for 4-6 hours.
If you miss a dose of Myoril Maxx Tablet, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.
Long-term use of Myoril Maxx Tablet should only be done under the advice of a doctor.
Myoril Maxx is used for short-term relief of acute musculoskeletal pain associated with inflammation and muscle spasm. Typical uses include acute low back pain, neck pain, painful muscle spasm after minor trauma, and certain joint or peri-articular conditions when a doctor considers a combination of an NSAID, an analgesic, and a muscle relaxant appropriate.
Myoril Maxx combines three active components. Aceclofenac, an NSAID, reduces inflammation and pain by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis. Paracetamol (acetaminophen) provides additional analgesic and antipyretic effects, mainly via central mechanisms. Thiocolchicoside acts as a centrally acting muscle relaxant, helping to reduce involuntary muscle contractions and stiffness. Together, they provide multimodal relief from pain, inflammation, and muscle spasm.
No. The dose, frequency, and duration of Myoril Maxx must be determined only by a registered healthcare professional after assessing your condition, age, comorbidities, and other medicines you are taking. You should not self-prescribe, change the dose, or extend the duration on your own, and you should not exceed the total daily paracetamol intake recommended by your doctor.
Myoril Maxx is generally intended for short-term use only. Prolonged or repeated use increases the risk of adverse effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding or ulceration from aceclofenac, liver toxicity from cumulative paracetamol exposure, renal impairment, and potential neurological or reproductive risks associated with thiocolchicoside. Long-term or recurrent pain should be evaluated by a doctor to identify and treat the underlying cause rather than relying on ongoing symptomatic medication.
Caution is required in patients with liver impairment because paracetamol and aceclofenac are metabolized in the liver, and thiocolchicoside is also hepatically processed. In moderate to severe hepatic impairment, such combinations may be contraindicated or require strict dose adjustment and close monitoring. You must inform your doctor about any history of hepatitis, cirrhosis, fatty liver disease, or abnormal liver tests before using Myoril Maxx.
Myoril Maxx is generally not recommended during pregnancy. Thiocolchicoside-containing products are often contraindicated in pregnant women due to concerns from preclinical data about potential effects on the fetus and on fertility, and NSAIDs like aceclofenac are usually avoided, especially in the later stages of pregnancy. A pregnant woman should only receive this medicine if a specialist clearly considers that the potential benefit outweighs the risks and no safer alternative is available.
Use of Myoril Maxx is usually not advised during breastfeeding. Thiocolchicoside and its metabolites may pass into breast milk, and safety for the nursing infant has not been adequately established. If you are breastfeeding, you should inform your doctor, who may choose an alternative treatment with a better-established safety profile in lactation.
Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, indigestion, diarrhea, gastritis, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, and mild skin rash. Most of these are usually transient. However, serious side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, severe allergic reactions, liver injury, kidney problems, or neurological symptoms can occur rarely and require immediate medical attention.
Alcohol consumption should be avoided or kept to an absolute minimum while taking Myoril Maxx. Alcohol increases the risk of liver toxicity associated with paracetamol and may worsen gastrointestinal irritation from aceclofenac. It can also enhance dizziness or drowsiness, increasing the risk of accidents. If you regularly consume alcohol, you must inform your doctor before starting this medicine.
Myoril Maxx may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or visual disturbances in some individuals, mainly due to the muscle relaxant component and, to a lesser extent, the analgesic combination. If you feel sleepy, dizzy, or less alert after taking it, you should not drive, operate machinery, or perform tasks that require full concentration until you know how the medicine affects you.
You should not take additional paracetamol-containing products or other NSAIDs (such as ibuprofen, diclofenac, or naproxen) together with Myoril Maxx unless your doctor specifically instructs you to do so. Combining such medicines increases the risk of liver damage, gastrointestinal bleeding, and kidney impairment. Always show your doctor or pharmacist all medicines you are using to avoid unintentional duplication.
If you miss a scheduled dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is nearly time for your next dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one. If you frequently forget doses, discuss with your doctor whether you still need the medicine or if an alternative regimen is more suitable.
