About NEXLUMA CAPSULE 10'S

  • Nexluma Capsule 10's is a prescription antipsychotic medicine marketed in India by Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. Each capsule contains lumateperone 42 mg.
  • Lumateperone is an atypical, second-generation antipsychotic used in adults for schizophrenia and for depressive episodes associated with bipolar I or bipolar II disorder, known as bipolar depression. It acts on several brain chemical systems at once and is thought to help correct the imbalances in these signals that underlie these conditions.
  • Nexluma should be used only as part of a treatment plan supervised by a doctor or psychiatrist, alongside regular follow-up and, where appropriate, counselling support.

  • By adjusting these overlapping signals, lumateperone can help reduce hallucinations and disordered thinking in schizophrenia, and improve low mood and low energy in bipolar depression.

Side Effects of NEXLUMA CAPSULE 10'SArrow

Drowsiness, sedation and dizziness are commonly reported, along with dry mouth, nausea and tiredness. Changes in weight, blood sugar or cholesterol have also been reported with this class of medicine. High fever with muscle stiffness and confusion, uncontrolled movements, or thoughts of self-harm need urgent medical attention. Not everyone experiences side effects, and many that occur are mild, but any effect that is troubling or persistent should be reported to the prescriber.
