How NORFLOX 400MG TABLET 10'S Works

• Norfloxacin blocks bacterial enzymes needed to copy and repair DNA. This stops susceptible bacteria from multiplying. It has no effect on viruses.
• Lactobacillus is a probiotic microorganism. It may help maintain gut microbial balance during antibiotic treatment, but it does not replace the antibiotic or guarantee prevention of diarrhoea.

Norfloxacin can cause nausea, abdominal discomfort, loose stools, dizziness or headache. Serious fluoroquinolone reactions include tendon inflammation or rupture, nerve symptoms such as burning or tingling, severe allergic reactions and changes in mood or alertness. Tendon pain or swelling, new numbness or tingling, severe rash, breathing difficulty or marked confusion needs prompt medical assessment. Tendon or nerve injury can persist after treatment.

• If you miss a dose of Norflox 400mg Tablet 10'S, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.

• The National Formulary of India advises protecting norfloxacin tablets from light and moisture. Keep the strip in its carton, away from damp areas and out of children's reach. Follow any additional storage instructions on the Cipla pack.

• Use only when prescribed for a suspected or confirmed bacterial infection.
• Do not save or share leftover antibiotic tablets.
• Follow pack instructions about meals, antacids and mineral supplements.
• Report tendon pain, swelling, numbness or tingling promptly.
• Tell the prescriber about kidney disease, seizures and other medicines.
• Ask the prescriber if severe diarrhoea, rash or breathing difficulty occurs.

• Milk and other dairy products can reduce norfloxacin absorption. Food instructions differ by product label, so the current Cipla pack and prescription should be followed. Mineral supplements and antacids also affect absorption and need pharmacist review.
