How NORFLOX TZ RF TABLET 10'S Works

• Norfloxacin inhibits two bacterial enzymes, DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, that are needed for bacterial DNA replication and repair. Blocking these enzymes stops susceptible bacteria from multiplying, leading to their death.
• Tinidazole is taken up by susceptible anaerobic bacteria and protozoa, where it is converted into reactive compounds that damage the organism's DNA. This dual action means norfloxacin targets a broad range of aerobic bacteria while tinidazole targets anaerobic bacteria and protozoa, which is useful for mixed infections where both types of organism are present.

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, headache and dizziness are commonly reported. A metallic taste can occur due to the tinidazole component. Tendon pain or swelling, numbness or tingling in the hands or feet, seizures, confusion, or a widespread rash with facial swelling or breathing difficulty need immediate medical attention, since these can be signs of more serious reactions.

• If you miss a dose of NORFLOX TZ RF TABLET 10'S, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

• Store the tablets in their original pack, away from moisture and direct sunlight, and out of the reach of children and pets. Keep them at room temperature. Do not use the tablets after the expiry date printed on the pack.

• Complete the full prescribed course, even if symptoms improve early
• Space dairy products and mineral supplements at least two hours from a dose
• Avoid alcohol during treatment and for a few days after the last dose
• Use sunscreen and protective clothing, since this medicine can increase sun sensitivity
• Seek prompt medical attention for tendon pain, numbness or tingling in the hands or feet
• Stay well hydrated throughout the course

• Norflox TZ RF is generally taken before meals or on an empty stomach for best absorption, though it can be taken with food if it causes stomach upset.
• Dairy products and mineral supplements containing calcium, magnesium, iron or zinc can reduce absorption of the norfloxacin component and should be taken at least two hours apart from a dose. Alcohol can react with the tinidazole component and is best avoided.
