Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them.

General precautions
Medical supervision advisedUse Nuroday tablet only on the advice of a registered medical practitioner and follow the prescribed schedule.
NURODAY TABLET 10'S is a form of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient which is required by the body to make red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It is also important for releasing energy from food and using vitamin B11 (folic acid).
You can get vitamin B12 from sources like meat, fish, eggs and dairy products. While people who are vegetarian or vegan may not get Vitamin B12 as it is not found naturally in foods such as fruits, vegetables and grains. Therefore, deficiency of Vitamin B12 is usually noticed in vegetarians or vegans.
Deficiency of vitamin B12 may cause tiredness, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss and megaloblastic anemia (a condition when red blood cells become larger than normal). It may also lead to nerve problems such as numbness and tingling in the hands and feet. Other symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency may include problems with balance, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory and soreness of the mouth or tongue.
NURODAY TABLET 10'S is generally well tolerated and considered safe. However, in some cases, rare side effects may be observed such as nausea, diarrhea, anorexia and rash. Discontinue taking this medicine immediately if a rash occurs.
NURODAY TABLET 10'S can be injected directly into a vein (intravenously) or into a muscle (intramuscularly). The usual dose is 1 ampoule (0.5 mg of NURODAY TABLET 10'S) and is given 3 times a week. After 2 months, 1 ampoule (0.5 mg of NURODAY TABLET 10'S) is given every one to three months as a part of maintenance therapy.
Avoid taking the injections at the same site every time. If there is intense pain while injecting or if the blood flows back into the syringe, take out the needle and re-insert at a different site.
Nuroday tablet is generally used as a vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin) supplement to support nerve health and treat or prevent vitamin B12 deficiency. It is often prescribed in conditions such as peripheral neuropathy, diabetic neuropathy, and certain types of anemia related to low vitamin B12 levels. Your doctor may also use it as part of combination therapy for nerve pain or other neurological symptoms.
Take Nuroday tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor and as directed on the product label. Swallow the tablet with water, with or without food, unless your doctor advises otherwise. Do not crush or chew the tablet unless the label specifically allows it. Do not change the dose or frequency on your own. If you are unsure about how to take it, ask your doctor or pharmacist for clarification.
If you have liver disease or a history of liver problems, inform your doctor before starting Nuroday tablet. Methylcobalamin is generally considered safe in liver impairment, but your doctor will decide whether it is appropriate for you and may adjust the dose or monitor you more closely based on your overall condition and any other medicines you are taking.
Patients with kidney disease should use Nuroday tablet only under medical supervision. Vitamin B12 is usually safe, but in moderate to severe kidney impairment, your doctor will assess the potential benefits and risks, consider your blood test results, and may adjust the dose or choose an alternative form or schedule if needed. Do not self-medicate if you have kidney problems.
Use of Nuroday tablet during pregnancy should be based on your doctor’s advice. Vitamin B12 is important for the health of both mother and baby, and supplementation may be necessary in deficiency. However, the exact need, dose, and duration must be decided by a healthcare professional after evaluating your nutritional status, medical history, and any other medicines you are using.
Vitamin B12 passes into breast milk, and adequate levels are important for the baby’s development. Nuroday tablet may be used during breastfeeding if your doctor considers it necessary to correct or prevent deficiency. The decision should be individualized, and your doctor will weigh the benefits for you and your baby against any potential risks. Do not start or continue the tablet during breastfeeding without medical advice.
Nuroday tablet is not known to directly impair the ability to drive or operate machinery in most people. However, some individuals may experience side effects such as dizziness, headache, or unusual tiredness. If you feel dizzy, weak, or unwell after taking the tablet, avoid driving, using heavy machinery, or performing tasks that require full alertness until you feel normal again.
Alcohol can interfere with the absorption and utilization of vitamin B12 and may worsen nerve damage, especially in people with neuropathy or nutritional deficiencies. While there is no specific known dangerous interaction between moderate alcohol intake and Nuroday tablet, it is advisable to limit or avoid alcohol to get the maximum benefit from the treatment and to protect nerve health. Discuss your alcohol intake with your doctor for personalized advice.
If you have a known allergy to vitamin B12 (cobalamin, methylcobalamin, cyanocobalamin) or any ingredient present in Nuroday tablet, you should not take this medicine unless your doctor specifically evaluates and approves it. Signs of an allergic reaction may include rash, itching, hives, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, severe dizziness, or difficulty breathing. Stop the medicine immediately and seek urgent medical help if you notice any of these symptoms.
Common side effects of Nuroday tablet may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, headache, and a feeling of weakness or tiredness in some individuals. These effects are usually mild and temporary. If side effects are severe, persistent, or worrying, contact your doctor. Very rarely, serious allergic reactions can occur, which require immediate medical attention.
Nuroday tablet can interact with certain medicines, including some used for infections, stomach problems, or seizures, and with high doses of folic acid or other supplements. Always inform your doctor and pharmacist about all prescription medicines, over-the-counter drugs, herbal products, and vitamin supplements you are taking. Your doctor will check for possible interactions and adjust your treatment plan if necessary.
If you miss a dose of Nuroday tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one. If you frequently forget doses, talk to your doctor or pharmacist about ways to help you remember your medicine.
