How O2 TABLET 10'S Works

• Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that blocks bacterial enzymes (DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV) that bacteria need to copy their DNA, which stops the bacteria from multiplying and kills them.
• Ornidazole is a nitroimidazole that, inside susceptible bacteria and protozoa, damages their DNA so the organisms cannot survive or reproduce. Together, the two molecules cover a broad range of bacteria and protozoa, which is useful when an infection may be caused by more than one type of organism.

Nausea or vomiting, diarrhoea and stomach pain are the most commonly reported effects. Headache, dizziness, a metallic taste in the mouth and loss of appetite have also been reported. Tendon pain or swelling, a fast or irregular heartbeat, seizures, or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as facial swelling or breathing difficulty need immediate medical attention.

• If you miss a dose of O2 Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

• Store the tablets in their original pack, at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture, and out of the reach of children and pets.

• Complete the full prescribed course, even if feeling better before it is finished
• Take away from antacids, and calcium, iron or zinc supplements
• Avoid alcohol during treatment and for a short time afterwards
• Avoid excessive sun exposure, since fluoroquinolones can increase skin sensitivity to sunlight
• Seek urgent medical attention for tendon pain or swelling, a fast or irregular heartbeat, or seizures

• O2 Tablet is best taken away from meals and dairy products, and away from antacids or supplements containing calcium, iron or zinc, since these can reduce its absorption.
