  • PEG L-ASPATERO 3750IU/5ML INJECTION contains a medicine called Peg-L-asparaginase. It is used to treat a type of blood cancer known as Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in patients who are four months old or older. In ALL, certain white blood cells called lymphocytes grow too much and in an abnormal way. This condition is also sometimes called Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. PEG L-ASPATERO 3750IU/5ML INJECTION works by limiting the amount of a substance called asparagine available to cancer cells, which they need to grow. By reducing asparagine, the medicine helps to slow down or stop the growth of these abnormal white blood cells.
  • You should not use this medicine if you have severe problems with your pancreas or if you have ever had an allergic reaction to asparaginase or any of the other ingredients in this medicine.
