How PILEX TABLET 60'S Works

• Pilex combines several herbs traditionally used in Ayurveda for piles. Himalaya describes three of them as the key ingredients.
• Haritaki (chebulic myrobalan) is described as anti-inflammatory and as a laxative that relieves the constipation linked with piles, so less straining is needed. Nagkesara (Mesua ferrea) is known in traditional medicine for its haemostatic property, meaning it helps control bleeding. Neem is described as antimicrobial, helping prevent secondary infection while the tissue heals.
• Other ingredients such as Aragvadha and Amalaki are also traditionally used to keep stools soft.

Himalaya states that Pilex is not known to cause any significant adverse reaction when taken as prescribed. Several ingredients have a laxative action, so loose stools can occur, particularly at the start. Any herbal product can cause an allergic reaction in a sensitive person. Rash, itching, swelling or difficulty breathing mean the tablets should be stopped and a doctor seen. Heavy bleeding from the back passage, black stools or severe pain are not side effects to wait out. They need prompt medical assessment.

• If you miss a dose of Pilex tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one.

• Store the bottle tightly closed in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep it out of the reach of children, and do not use the tablets after the expiry date.

• Have rectal bleeding checked by a doctor before relying on Pilex
• Eat more fibre and drink plenty of water every day
• Avoid straining or sitting on the toilet for long periods
• Warm sitz baths can ease pain and itching
• Expect softer stools, and cut down if they become too loose
• See a doctor if symptoms do not improve, or if bleeding is heavy

• No specific food interactions have been reported. A diet rich in fibre supports the effect of Pilex on stools, and spicy food, alcohol and low-fibre processed foods tend to worsen piles symptoms for many people.
