About REDITUX 600 INJECTION

  • REDITUX 600 INJECTION contains rituximab as its active ingredient. It is prescribed for various conditions in adults, either alone or in combination with other medications. These conditions include non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a cancer affecting B-lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell), and chronic lymphocytic leukemia, another common cancer affecting B-cells. Additionally, it is used in conjunction with methotrexate to treat moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis, a disease where the immune system attacks the body's own joints. Furthermore, REDITUX 600 INJECTION is indicated for granulomatosis with polyangiitis or microscopic polyangiitis, conditions involving inflammation of blood vessels, primarily affecting the lungs and kidneys, in both adults and children aged 2 years and older. It also treats moderate to severe pemphigus vulgaris, an autoimmune disorder causing painful blisters on the skin, mouth lining, throat, nose, and genitals.
  • REDITUX 600 INJECTION belongs to the class of anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies. It should not be administered to individuals with a known allergy to rituximab or any of the injection's other components. It's also contraindicated in individuals with a weakened immune system or an active, severe infection. Prior to commencing treatment, inform your doctor if you have a history of heart disease, heart failure, or breathing difficulties. If you have a history of hepatitis B infection, discuss this with your doctor as the infection can reactivate in some cases and may become severe. Pregnancy and breastfeeding are not recommended during treatment with this injection.
