If your blood sugar falls too low, you may become unconscious. Severe hypoglycemia can cause brain damage and may be life-threatening. Symptoms may include cold sweat, cool pale skin, headache, rapid heartbeat, feeling sick, feeling very hungry, temporary vision changes, drowsiness, unusual tiredness and weakness, nervousness or tremor, feeling anxious, feeling confused, difficulty in concentrating. **Common (may affect up to 1 in 10 people):** * Local reactions at the injection site: Redness, swelling, and itching may occur around the injection site. These reactions usually disappear within a few days. **Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people):** * Symptoms of allergy: Generalized allergic reactions are uncommon but potentially serious. Symptoms can include rash all over your body, shortness of breath, wheezing, a drop in blood pressure, fast pulse, sweating, and paleness. * Lipodystrophy: (Pitting at the injection site): If you inject insulin too often at the same place, the fatty tissue may either shrink (lipoatrophy) or thicken (lipohypertrophy). * Edema (swelling): Swelling, particularly around the ankles, feet, or fingers, may occur when you start taking insulin or increase your dose. **Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people):** * Serious allergy: If you are seriously allergic to Ryzodeg Penfill or any of the ingredients, stop using Ryzodeg Penfill and see a doctor right away. **Other possible side effects:** * Skin changes at the injection site (Cutaneous Amyloidosis): If you inject insulin too often at the same place, the skin may get thinner or pits may develop under the skin.
