How SOLVIN COLD AF DROPS 15 ML Works

• Phenylephrine narrows the blood vessels lining the nose. A cold or allergy swells these blood vessels, which blocks the airway, and narrowing them again reduces the swelling and makes it easier to breathe through the nose. This effect is largely limited to the nasal passages when the drops are used as directed.
• Chlorpheniramine maleate blocks histamine H1 receptors. Histamine is released during an allergic reaction and produces sneezing, a runny nose and itching, so blocking its action settles these symptoms. The same blocking action commonly causes drowsiness.

Drowsiness, dry mouth, nose or throat, and dizziness are commonly reported. Restlessness, irritability or difficulty sleeping can occur, particularly in children. A widespread rash, difficulty breathing, a fast or irregular heartbeat, or unusual sleepiness need immediate medical attention.

• If you miss a dose of Solvin Cold AF Drops, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

• Store the bottle in its original pack, out of the reach of children and pets. Keep it at room temperature. Do not use the drops after the expiry date printed on the label.

• Use the calibrated dropper provided, not a household spoon
• Check the current pack and confirm with the prescriber before using in a child below four years of age
• Clean the dropper after each use and let it air dry
• Avoid driving or operating machinery until the effect of the medicine is known, in older children and adults
• Seek medical advice if symptoms persist or worsen after a few days
• Seek urgent medical help for a widespread rash, breathing difficulty or a fast, irregular heartbeat
