This medicine is prescribed for adults who have a type of lung cancer called Anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). This means their cancer cells have a specific change called an ALK rearrangement. You should not take SPEXIB CAPSULE 10'S if you are allergic to Ceritinib or any other ingredients in the capsule. Before starting treatment, it's very important to tell your doctor if you have ever had issues with your kidneys, lungs, liver, pancreas, or if you have diabetes (problems with blood sugar).
Also, inform your doctor if you have any heart conditions, especially if you have a history of a prolonged QT interval, which is a type of abnormal electrical activity in the heart.
