How STUGERON PLUS TABLET 10'S Works

• Cinnarizine blocks calcium channels involved in the transmission of signals from the inner ear's balance organ to the brain, and its antihistamine action further reduces the excitability of this pathway, decreasing the sensation of spinning or imbalance.
• Dimenhydrinate blocks histamine receptors involved in the brain's vomiting centre, reducing nausea and vomiting. Combining the two provides relief for both the sensation of vertigo or motion sickness and the nausea that often accompanies it.

Drowsiness, dry mouth, headache and indigestion are the most commonly reported effects. Weight gain, fatigue, nausea and increased appetite have also been reported. A severe allergic reaction, with facial or throat swelling or difficulty breathing, needs immediate medical attention. Tremor, muscle stiffness or unusually slow movement, or yellowing of the skin or eyes, should also be reported to a doctor promptly.

• If you miss a dose of Stugeron Plus Tablet 10'S, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

• Store the tablets in their original pack, below 25°C unless the pack states otherwise, away from direct sunlight and moisture, and out of the reach of children. Do not use the tablets after the expiry date printed on the pack.

• Take with food to reduce the chance of stomach upset
• For motion sickness, take ahead of travel as advised by the prescriber
• Avoid driving or operating machinery until it is known how this tablet affects alertness
• Avoid alcohol, since it can add to drowsiness
• Tell the prescriber about any history of Parkinson's disease or a similar movement disorder
• Seek medical advice if tremor, stiffness or slowed movement develops

• Stugeron Plus is best taken with food, which can reduce the chance of stomach upset.
