About TARGOCID 200MG INJECTION

  • TARGOCID 200MG INJECTION contains the active ingredient Teicoplanin. This medicine belongs to a group of antibiotics known as glycopeptides. It is used to treat serious bacterial infections in various parts of the body in adults and children. This can include infections affecting the skin and soft tissues, the lungs (like pneumonia), the urinary tract, the inner lining of the heart (endocarditis), areas within the abdomen, the blood (septicaemia), and bones and joints.
  • Essentially, TARGOCID 200MG INJECTION works by actively killing the bacteria that are causing the infection. By targeting and eliminating these harmful bacteria, it helps your body fight off the illness and allows you to recover. Its powerful action makes it a crucial treatment option for infections that might not respond to other types of antibiotics or are particularly severe.
  • It is very important that you do not receive TARGOCID 200MG INJECTION if you have a known allergy to Teicoplanin or any of the other ingredients listed in the medicine. You should also tell your doctor if you have previously had an allergic reaction to another antibiotic called vancomycin, as there might be a higher chance of a reaction to Teicoplanin.
