How TENOVATE OINTMENT 15 GM Works

• Clobetasol enters skin cells and binds to glucocorticoid receptors. This reduces the release of inflammatory messengers and limits immune activity in the treated area. The same action can thin the skin and hide signs of infection, especially when treatment covers a large area, uses a dressing, or reaches delicate skin.

Burning, stinging, irritation, dryness and itching can occur at the application site. Repeated or prolonged use can cause skin thinning, stretch marks, visible small blood vessels, pigment changes or increased hair growth. Absorption through the skin can affect adrenal hormone production, especially with large areas, covered skin or prolonged use. Eye exposure can cause harm.
