CautionTETRAFOL TABLET 10'S is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of TETRAFOL TABLET 10'S is recommended.
TETRAFOL TABLET 10'S contains folate which is also known as folic acid (a form of Vitamin B). This medicine is used to treat or prevent deficiency of folate in the body. Folate plays an essential role in the production of red blood cells, and its deficiency can lead to anemia.
You should not use this medication if you have ever had an allergic reaction to TETRAFOL TABLET 10'S or any of its ingredients. Before you take this medication, tell your doctor if you have a vitamin B12 deficiency, pernicious anemia or a history of bipolar disorder (manic depression). Also, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Let your doctor know about all the other medicines you are taking because they may affect, or be affected by, this medicine.
TETRAFOL TABLET 10'S is effective if used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not stop taking it even if you see improvement in your condition. If you stop using TETRAFOL TABLET 10'S too early, the symptoms may return or worsen.
TETRAFOL TABLET 10'S should be taken in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. However, it would be best to take it at the same time each day to avoid the chances of missing a dose.
If you forget a dose of TETRAFOL TABLET 10'S, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next scheduled dose in the prescribed time. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one as this may increase the chances of developing side effects.
TETRAFOL TABLET 10'S is safe if used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Take it exactly as directed and do not skip any dose. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully and let your doctor know if any of the side effects bother you.
