How TRAPIC E TABLET 10'S Works

• Tranexamic acid is an antifibrinolytic that blocks plasminogen from converting into plasmin, the enzyme that breaks down fibrin, the protein framework of a blood clot. By slowing this breakdown, it helps stabilise clots once they have formed, reducing bleeding.
• Ethamsylate is believed to work by improving the resistance of small blood vessels (capillaries) and supporting platelet adhesion at the site of injury, helping a stable plug form more effectively. Together, these two mechanisms address both the formation and the stability of blood clots, providing a combined approach to reducing excessive bleeding.

Nausea, indigestion, diarrhoea, stomach pain and headache are the most commonly reported effects. Dizziness and fatigue have also been reported. Leg swelling or pain, sudden breathlessness or chest pain, and vision changes need immediate medical attention, since tranexamic acid carries a recognised risk of blood clots and, rarely, visual disturbance with prolonged use.

• If you miss a dose of TRAPIC E TABLET 10'S, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

• Store the tablets in their original pack, below 25°C unless the pack states otherwise, away from direct sunlight and moisture, and out of the reach of children.

• Take with food if stomach upset occurs
• Report any new or unusual bleeding or spotting to the prescriber
• Tell the prescriber about any history of blood clots or kidney problems before starting
• Report any new vision changes during treatment
• Seek urgent medical attention for leg swelling, sudden breathlessness or chest pain

• Trapic E can be taken with or without food. Taking it with food may help if it causes stomach upset.
