TREOALL 5GM INJECTION contains the active ingredient Treosulfan. It is a type of chemotherapy medication belonging to a group called alkylating agents. TREOALL 5GM INJECTION is primarily used in adults and children as part of the preparation process before an allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant (alloHSCT). This means it helps prepare the body to receive stem cells from a donor.
In adults, TREOALL 5GM INJECTION is used for patients undergoing alloHSCT for both malignant (cancerous) and non-malignant (non-cancerous) blood disorders. In children older than one month, it is used specifically for malignant blood disorders requiring this type of transplant.
It is crucial not to use TREOALL 5GM INJECTION if you are allergic to Treosulfan or any other ingredients in the injection. Before starting treatment, you must inform your doctor about your complete medical history, especially if you have any current infections or pre-existing conditions affecting your heart, lungs, liver, or kidneys. These conditions can affect how your body handles the medication and your recovery.
Also, tell your doctor if you have recently received any live vaccines, as TREOALL 5GM INJECTION can weaken your immune system. Inform them if you have Fanconi anemia or any other inherited disorder affecting DNA repair.
