About TROYFENAC SP TABLET 10'S

TROYFENAC SP Tablet is a combination pain-and-inflammation medicine that brings together three ingredients — aceclofenac 100 mg, paracetamol (acetaminophen) 325 mg and serratiopeptidase 10 mg. It is used to relieve pain, swelling and inflammation in conditions such as arthritis (osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis), back pain, muscle and joint pain, dental pain, and pain and swelling after injury or surgery.
Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces pain and inflammation by blocking the production of prostaglandins, the chemical messengers that cause pain, swelling and fever at the site of injury. Paracetamol is a pain reliever and fever reducer that works mainly in the brain to raise the pain threshold and bring down temperature, adding to the pain relief through a complementary mechanism. Serratiopeptidase is an enzyme that helps break down and thin inflammatory secretions, which can reduce swelling and stiffness and support quicker recovery, making the combination useful where pain is accompanied by marked swelling.
TROYFENAC SP Tablet is usually taken after food to help protect the stomach, at the dose and for the duration advised by your doctor. Because it combines an NSAID with paracetamol and an enzyme, it targets both the pain and the underlying inflammation and swelling together, which is why it is commonly prescribed for painful musculoskeletal and post-operative conditions. It is best used for short-term relief unless your doctor advises otherwise.
Common side effects can include nausea, stomach pain, indigestion, heartburn, diarrhoea and dizziness. Taking it with food helps reduce stomach upset. Long-term or high-dose NSAID use can affect the stomach, kidneys and heart, so tell your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers, acidity, kidney or liver disease, asthma, high blood pressure or heart problems, and avoid combining it with other paracetamol-containing medicines to prevent an overdose. Seek prompt medical advice for black stools, severe stomach pain, breathlessness or signs of an allergic reaction. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use it only on medical advice.
