How UBINEXT LC TABLET 10'S Works

• Inside each mitochondrion, coenzyme Q10 carries electrons along the chain of reactions that produces ATP, the cell's main energy molecule. It also neutralises free radicals, the unstable molecules produced during energy production, which can damage cell membranes.
• Levocarnitine shuttles long-chain fatty acids across the mitochondrial membrane so they can be broken down for energy. Heart and skeletal muscle rely heavily on fat for fuel, so both nutrients are especially relevant to these tissues.

Both ingredients are usually well tolerated. Coenzyme Q10 can cause stomach upset, nausea, loss of appetite and difficulty sleeping. Carnitine can cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, diarrhoea and, at higher amounts, a fishy body odour. Carnitine has been associated with seizures in people who already have a seizure disorder. Coenzyme Q10 can lower blood pressure and blood sugar slightly.

• If you miss a dose of UBINEXT LC TABLET, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

• Store the strip in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, and follow the storage instruction printed on the current Mankind pack. Keep it out of the reach of children, and do not use it after the expiry date.

• Take it with a meal for better absorption
• Tell the doctor if taking warfarin, thyroid tablets or blood pressure medicines
• Report any muscle pain while on a statin to the doctor
• Do not stop prescribed heart medicines in favour of a supplement
• Ask the doctor first if there is a history of seizures

• Taking Ubinext LC with a meal improves coenzyme Q10 absorption. Meat, fish and dairy are dietary sources of carnitine, and oily fish, meat and nuts contain coenzyme Q10.
