About VFEND 200MG INJECTION
- VFEND 200MG INJECTION is a powerful antifungal medicine used to treat very serious, potentially life-threatening fungal infections. Its active ingredient, Voriconazole, works by stopping the fungus from growing. This medicine is also used to prevent these infections in people who are at high risk, like those who have recently received a bone marrow transplant. It is not suitable for children under the age of 2 years.
- It's crucial not to use VFEND 200MG INJECTION if you are allergic to Voriconazole or any other ingredients in this medicine. Before starting treatment, *please* tell your doctor if you have ever had an allergic reaction to other similar antifungal medicines (known as azoles). Also, inform your doctor about any current or past liver problems, or if you have heart issues such as cardiomyopathy, an irregular or slow heartbeat, or a specific abnormal heart rhythm condition called 'long QTc syndrome' that shows on an ECG.
- While on this medicine, be extra careful about sun exposure. Direct sunlight should be avoided. Protect your skin by wearing clothing that covers you and using sunscreen with a high SPF on exposed areas. Children taking this medicine also need to follow these precautions strictly.
