Vivimet G 1 Tablet 10's is a combination of two medicines: Glimepiride and Metformin. It is used to control high blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus, when diet and exercise are not enough alone.
Vivimet G 1 Tablet 10's works in two ways. Glimepiride works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas in order to lower blood sugar. Metformin works by decreasing the amount of glucose produced by the liver, decreasing the absorption of glucose from the intestines, and improving the body's sensitivity to insulin.
The common side effects of Vivimet G 1 Tablet 10's include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and headache. Inform your doctor if these side effects persist or become severe.
It is not recommended to consume alcohol while taking Vivimet G 1 Tablet 10's, as it can lower blood sugar levels and cause other side effects.
Store Vivimet G 1 Tablet 10's at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
If you miss a dose of Vivimet G 1 Tablet 10's, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose.
The safety of Vivimet G 1 Tablet 10's during pregnancy has not been established. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
It is not known whether Vivimet G 1 Tablet 10's passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
Vivimet G 1 Tablet 10's should be used with caution in people with kidney problems. Metformin is excreted by the kidneys, and there is a risk of its accumulation in people with kidney impairment. Your doctor may adjust the dosage based on your kidney function.
Vivimet G 1 Tablet 10's should be used with caution in people with liver problems. Your doctor may adjust the dosage based on your liver function.
Vivimet G 1 Tablet 10's can interact with many other medications, including insulin, certain antibiotics, and certain heart medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all the medications you are taking so they can monitor for any potential interactions.
It may take a few days for Vivimet G 1 Tablet 10's to start working. It is important to continue taking the medication as directed in order to see an improvement in your blood sugar levels.
Symptoms of an overdose of Vivimet G 1 Tablet 10's include low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and dizziness. Seek immediate medical attention if you think you have overdosed on this medication.
Vivimet G 1 Tablet 10's can rarely affect your vision. However, if you experience any changes in vision or blurred vision, inform your doctor.
