About VORITEK 200 TABLET 4'S

  • VORITEK 200 TABLET 4'S is a powerful medicine used to treat serious fungal infections that can be life-threatening. Its active ingredient is called Voriconazole, which works by stopping fungi from growing. It's often used when other antifungal treatments haven't worked or for infections that are very severe. It's also given to people who are at high risk of getting fungal infections, like those who have had a bone marrow transplant or have a weakened immune system. This medicine is not suitable for children under 2 years old.
  • You must not take VORITEK 200 TABLET 4'S if you are allergic to Voriconazole or any other ingredients in the tablet. Tell your doctor *before* taking this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to similar antifungal medicines (called azoles) in the past. It's also crucial to inform your doctor if you have or have ever had liver problems, or if you have heart conditions such as a weak heart muscle (cardiomyopathy), an irregular or slow heartbeat, or a specific abnormal heart rhythm seen on an ECG called 'long QTc syndrome'.
  • While taking VORITEK 200 TABLET 4'S, your skin can become much more sensitive to sunlight. It is absolutely essential to avoid direct sunlight and sun exposure as much as possible. When you do go outside, protect your skin thoroughly with clothing that covers your arms and legs, wear a hat, and use a high-SPF sunscreen, even on cloudy days. This is important for both adults and children taking the medicine.
  • Like all medicines, VORITEK 200 TABLET 4'S can cause side effects. Common ones include fever, skin rash, feeling sick (nausea), being sick (vomiting), diarrhea, headache, swelling in your hands or feet, stomach pain, and difficulty breathing. Most of these are usually mild.
