How VOVERAN SR 100MG TABLET 15'S Works

• Diclofenac blocks cyclo-oxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), which the body uses to make prostaglandins. Prostaglandins drive pain, swelling and inflammation in joints and tissues, so lowering them eases pain and stiffness.
• The same prostaglandins also protect the stomach lining, support kidney blood flow and affect blood clotting. This is why NSAIDs can cause stomach ulcers, kidney problems and heart and circulation risks. The sustained-release tablet spreads the release of diclofenac over many hours.

Indigestion, heartburn, stomach pain, nausea, diarrhoea, headache and dizziness are common. Fluid retention, ankle swelling and raised blood pressure can occur. Serious risks include stomach or duodenal ulcers and bleeding, which can occur without warning. Heart attack and stroke are also possible, and diclofenac carries one of the higher cardiovascular risks among NSAIDs, especially at higher doses and with longer use. Other serious effects include liver inflammation, kidney damage, severe allergic reactions and serious skin reactions. Black or tarry stools, vomiting blood, chest pain, breathlessness, weakness on one side or slurred speech, yellowing of the skin, reduced urine, a blistering rash, or swelling of the face need urgent medical attention.

• If you miss a dose of VOVERAN SR 100MG TABLET 15'S, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

• Store the strip in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture, and follow the storage instruction printed on the current pack. Keep it out of the reach of children, and do not use it after the expiry date.

• Swallow it whole without crushing or chewing
• Take it with or after food
• Do not take other painkillers such as ibuprofen with it
• Have blood pressure checked regularly
• Report black stools, chest pain or reduced urine at once
• Keep active, since exercise helps arthritis

• Taking the tablet with or after food can reduce stomach upset. Alcohol increases the risk of stomach bleeding and should be avoided or limited.
