My mother, Mrs Ushaben Ruparelia, is registered as a patient in Medkart. For many years, I have known about generic medicines. I would always ask my mother’s doctor about generic medicines or alternative brands, but the doctor would never prescribe generic ones for us. They also have some benefits in that, I guess.
Often, I try to find generic medicines instead of well-known brands like Innova, Cipla, Torrent, etc., but it isn’t easy. When the Medkart store opened here, I decided to ask them too. Surprisingly, I found them more than willing to supply generics! They were well informed about alternatives and helped me choose the best and most economical medication for my mother. The same medicines that we used to pay Rs 8000 for, now we get in Rs 1000 to Rs 2000. It is a huge relief for us!
