It is used to treat certain advanced cancers, including breast cancer, kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma), and a type of cancer that starts in the pancreas (pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours). It is also used for a specific type of brain tumour called subependymal giant cell astrocytoma, which is found in the brain's fluid-filled spaces. Taking good care of your mouth with regular cleaning and dental visits is very important during treatment with ROLIMUS 5 TABLET 10'S, as it can cause painful mouth sores or ulcers. Sometimes, for brain tumours, it's used together with another cancer medicine called cyclophosphamide.
It's important to know that treatment with ROLIMUS 5 TABLET 10'S can make you more likely to get infections from bacteria or viruses.
