About DACMED 200 INJECTION

  • DACMED 200 INJECTION is an antineoplastic drug that belongs to the class of alkylating agents and contains dacarbazine as its active ingredient. It is prescribed for the prevention and treatment of metastatic malignant melanoma (a type of skin cancer) and Hodgkin's disease (cancer originating in the lymphatic system, a vital component of the immune system).
  • Often, DACMED 200 INJECTION is used in combination with cisplatin, a cytotoxic agent, for treating specific cancers like Hodgkin's lymphoma. Additionally, it can be combined with temozolomide for treating melanoma. It's important to be aware that using this medication might increase the risk of developing certain types of non-melanoma skin cancer. Pregnant women should not use this drug. Women who are capable of bearing children should use effective methods of contraception during treatment and for at least 6 months after the treatment.
