About BENZOL 4MG INJECTION

  • BENZOL 4MG INJECTION contains zoledronic acid as an active ingredient, belonging to a class of medications known as bisphosphonates. It is primarily administered to manage hypercalcemia (high calcium levels) in the blood of adult patients caused by tumors. Tumors can disrupt the normal bone remodeling process, leading to an excessive release of calcium from the bones, a condition known as tumor-induced hypercalcemia (TIH). Additionally, it is used alongside standard cancer treatments to prevent bone complications in adult patients with multiple myeloma and bone metastases resulting from solid tumors, where cancer has spread from its primary site to the bones.
  • BENZOL 4MG INJECTION is also prescribed to prevent and treat osteoporosis in post-menopausal women, a condition characterized by weakened and brittle bones, making them prone to fractures. It is also effective in treating osteoporosis in men. Furthermore, it is indicated for Paget’s disease of bone, a condition where bones become soft, weak, and may develop deformities, causing pain and increasing the risk of fractures. This injection is also beneficial in treating or preventing osteoporosis in both men and women who are on long-term glucocorticoid therapy (corticosteroid medication), as these medications can induce osteoporosis. This medication helps to strengthen bones and reduce the risk of fractures associated with various bone-related conditions.
  • It is crucial to avoid this injection if you have a known allergy to zoledronic acid, any other bisphosphonates, or any of the other components of the injection.
