  • CABAXAN 60MG/1.5ML INJECTION contains the active ingredient cabazitaxel. It is an anticancer medication used together with steroid medicine, either prednisone or prednisolone. It is prescribed for individuals with hormone-refractory metastatic prostate cancer that has continued to progress even after treatment with other anticancer drugs, including docetaxel. Cancer involves the abnormal and uncontrolled multiplication of cells within the body. Early-stage prostate cancers often rely on normal testosterone (a male hormone) levels for growth. However, in hormone-refractory metastatic prostate cancer, the cancer continues to grow despite the reduction of testosterone levels in the body. CABAXAN 60MG/1.5ML INJECTION is not suitable for individuals with severe liver function abnormalities or those who have recently received a yellow fever vaccination.
  • Key toxicities associated with this medication include myelosuppression (bone marrow suppression), neurotoxicity (nerve damage), and allergic reactions.
