Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them.

Allergies
Contraindicated in hypersensitivityDo not use clop cream if you have a known allergy to corticosteroids or any of the excipients listed in the product leaflet.
No, CLOP CREAM 30 GM should not be used for a long time. The doctor generally prescribes it for 2 consecutive weeks only. However, the treatment can be longer for chronic (long-term) inflammatory conditions. Consult your physician before using this medication.
Severe skin reactions are quite rare with CLOP CREAM 30 GM. CLOP CREAM 30 GM is an anti-inflammatory drug which is used to treat skin diseases, skin reactions and eczemas. However, skin reactions can occur in a person who is hypersensitive to CLOP CREAM 30 GM. It is important to leave the affected area open after applying CLOP CREAM 30 GM as using occlusive dressings (air- and water-tight dressing) can lead to skin reactions. The medicine may not itself cause a reaction but the added excipients with the medications can lead to a reaction in some cases. Inform your doctor immediately in case you encounter any skin reactions.
No, CLOP CREAM 30 GM should not be used on the face. In addition to this, CLOP CREAM 30 GM should also not be used on the axillae (armpits), groin, and if there is atrophy (wasting away of tissues) at the treatment site. In certain circumstances, it can be exceptionally considered to be used by doctors. It should be used only after consultation with your physician and if possible, the application on the face should be limited to a maximum of 5 days.
CLOP CREAM 30 GM is not recommended for use in children less than 1 year of age. It is also not recommended for use in older children and adolescents as the side effects are more common in them. In the pediatric population, there is an increased risk of suppression of the immune system which may make the child prone to other diseases and atrophic changes, hence it is not recommended. Still, in some rare cases, the doctor may recommend this medicine, but the treatment is usually limited to 5 days and the therapy is reviewed weekly.
CLOP CREAM 30 GM is not an antimicrobial or antifungal agent. It is a steroid medication. It should not be used in infections as being a corticosteroid, it suppresses the immune system and increases the risk of infections. Bacterial infections are prone to worsen if the infection is covered with a dressing after using CLOP CREAM 30 GM. In case the inflammatory lesions get infected or there is any spread of infection, consult your doctor immediately. The doctor will withdraw the use of CLOP CREAM 30 GM and provide appropriate antimicrobial therapy.
No, do not stop taking CLOP CREAM 30 GM and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before your treatment is complete. Stopping CLOP CREAM 30 GM before your treatment is completed can bring back your symptoms.
Local skin reactions are quite rare with CLOP CREAM 30 GM. Being an anti-inflammatory drug, it is used to treat skin diseases, skin reactions, and eczemas. Still, skin reactions can occur in a person who is hypersensitive to CLOP CREAM 30 GM. It is important to leave the affected area open after applying CLOP CREAM 30 GM as using occlusive dressings (air- and water-tight dressing) can lead to skin reactions. If not by the medicine itself, sometimes the reactions are also caused by the added excipients with the medications. Inform your doctor immediately in case you encounter any skin reactions.
Clop cream is a topical corticosteroid preparation used to reduce redness, itching, and inflammation in skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and certain allergic rashes. It helps control flare‑ups and relieve discomfort but does not cure the underlying condition.
Use clop cream exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Apply a thin layer to the affected area of clean, dry skin and gently rub it in until absorbed. Do not apply to the eyes, mouth, or inside the nose, and do not use on large areas or under airtight dressings unless your doctor specifically tells you to. Wash your hands after applying, unless your hands are the treated area.
Clop cream, especially if it contains a potent corticosteroid, should be used on the face only if your doctor specifically prescribes it for that area. Facial skin is thin and more prone to side effects such as thinning, visible blood vessels, and changes in pigmentation. Never use it around the eyes unless directed by a specialist.
During pregnancy, clop cream should be used only if clearly needed and under medical supervision. Your doctor will weigh the benefits against potential risks. If it is prescribed, it is usually recommended to use the lowest effective strength on the smallest area of skin for the shortest possible time. Do not start or continue use in pregnancy without consulting your healthcare provider.
If you are breastfeeding, use clop cream only on the advice of your doctor. Avoid applying it on or near the nipples or areas that may come into direct contact with your baby’s mouth or skin. If application near the breast is necessary, ensure the area is thoroughly wiped and washed before feeding. Prolonged or extensive use should be avoided without medical guidance.
Because clop cream is applied to the skin, systemic absorption is usually low when used correctly. However, if large areas are treated, the skin is damaged, or occlusive dressings are used, more medicine can enter the bloodstream. In people with severe liver or kidney impairment, this could theoretically increase the risk of systemic corticosteroid effects. Such patients should use clop cream cautiously and strictly as directed by a doctor, who may limit the area and duration of treatment.
There is no direct interaction known between topical clop cream and moderate alcohol consumption because the medicine mainly acts locally on the skin. However, if you have skin conditions that are worsened by alcohol (such as certain types of rosacea or psoriasis), your doctor may advise limiting alcohol. Always follow your healthcare provider’s general lifestyle recommendations for your skin condition.
Clop cream is applied to the skin and is not expected to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery when used as directed. It does not usually cause drowsiness, dizziness, or visual disturbances. If you experience any unexpected symptoms that could impair concentration or vision, speak to your doctor before driving.
If you have a known allergy to corticosteroids or any component of the cream (such as certain preservatives, fragrances, or base ingredients), you should not use clop cream. Signs of an allergic reaction can include worsening redness, itching, burning, swelling, or blistering at the application site. Stop using the cream and seek medical advice immediately if you suspect an allergic reaction.
Children can sometimes be prescribed clop cream, but only under close medical supervision. Children’s skin is thinner and can absorb more medicine, increasing the risk of side effects, including systemic corticosteroid effects. Doctors usually recommend milder preparations, smaller treatment areas, and shorter courses in children. Never use clop cream on a child without a doctor’s prescription.
Using clop cream more often or for longer than prescribed can increase the risk of side effects such as skin thinning, stretch marks, and, rarely, systemic corticosteroid effects. If you think you have overused it, do not stop abruptly if you have been using it for a long time; instead, contact your doctor. They may advise gradually reducing the frequency of application and will check for any complications.
