About GEMBIN 1MG INJECTION

  • GEMBIN 1MG INJECTION is a chemotherapy drug containing gemcitabine as its active compound. It is prescribed for treating various cancers, namely bladder cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer, and non-small cell lung cancer. Cancer involves the uncontrolled and abnormal multiplication of cells. Before starting this medication, inform your doctor if you have any heart, liver, or kidney conditions, have undergone recent radiotherapy, or have been recently vaccinated.
  • GEMBIN 1MG INJECTION is not advisable for individuals under 18 years of age. Your doctor will regularly check your blood cell counts and kidney and liver function each time you receive this injection. Women should use effective birth control during the treatment and for at least six months after the final dose. The medication may impair fertility in men, who are advised not to father a child during treatment and for six months afterward.
  • Notify your doctor if you follow a salt-controlled diet, as GEMBIN 1MG INJECTION contains sodium. Immediately report any side effects like difficulty in breathing, wheezing, changes in urine color or volume, bleeding, or severe upper abdominal pain while using this medicine.

  • GEMBIN 1MG INJECTION exerts its anticancer effects through a multi-step process. Once inside the body, it is converted into its active form, GEMBIN 1MG INJECTION triphosphate. GEMBIN 1MG INJECTION triphosphate is then incorporated into the growing DNA chain during DNA replication, leading to chain termination and DNA strand breakage. Additionally, GEMBIN 1MG INJECTION inhibits the enzyme ribonucleotide reductase, which is responsible for the production of deoxyribonucleotides required for DNA synthesis. By blocking this enzyme, GEMBIN 1MG INJECTION limits the availability of building blocks necessary for DNA replication.
