Ginette 35mcg Tablet 21's is a combined oral contraceptive pill primarily used to treat women with acne, excessive hair growth (hirsutism), and irregular periods. It can also be used for contraception.
Ginette 35mcg Tablet 21's works by combining two synthetic hormones, cyproterone acetate and ethinylestradiol. It prevents ovulation, thickens cervical mucus making it difficult for sperm to reach the egg, and changes the lining of the uterus making it harder for a fertilized egg to implant.
Common side effects of Ginette 35mcg Tablet 21's can include nausea, vomiting, headache, breast tenderness, weight changes, mood changes, and spotting or breakthrough bleeding.
Take Ginette 35mcg Tablet 21's exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Generally, one tablet is taken at the same time each day, starting from the first day of your menstrual cycle. Make sure you finish all 21 pills in each strip, then have 7 pill-free days during which you will have a period. Start a new strip on the 8th day, even if your period hasn't finished.
Some women may experience weight changes while taking Ginette 35mcg Tablet 21's, but this side effect does not occur in everyone.
If you miss one pill, take it as soon as you remember, even if it means taking two pills in one day. If you miss 2 or more pills, use an additional method of contraception (such as condoms) for the next 7 days. Refer to the package leaflet or consult your doctor for more specific instructions.
Drinking alcohol while taking Ginette 35mcg Tablet 21's does not affect the effectiveness of the medication, but it may increase side effects.
Store Ginette 35mcg Tablet 21's at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

Ginette 35mcg Tablet 21's can interact with certain medications, such as some antibiotics, antifungals, anticonvulsants, and HIV medications. Tell your doctor about all the medications, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are taking to avoid any potential interactions.
Before taking Ginette 35mcg Tablet 21's, tell your doctor about your medical history, especially if you have a history of blood clots, heart disease, stroke, migraines, breast cancer, uterine cancer, liver disease, diabetes, or high blood pressure.
