GLIOGREY 100 INJECTION contains temozolomide as its active ingredient. It belongs to a class of medications known as antitumor agents. This medication is prescribed for the treatment of brain cancers, including glioblastoma multiforme in adults, and malignant glioma, which includes glioblastoma multiforme or anaplastic astrocytoma, in patients who are older than three years. Glioblastoma and anaplastic astrocytoma represent the most common and aggressive forms of brain cancer, often associated with low survival rates. Anaplastic astrocytoma is treated with GLIOGREY 100 INJECTION or radiotherapy following a biopsy. Glioblastoma multiforme is managed using a combination of radiotherapy and GLIOGREY 100 INJECTION, which is then continued as a maintenance therapy.
GLIOGREY 100 INJECTION works by interfering with the growth of cancer cells, eventually leading to their death.
