About TEMOZORIX 100 INJECTION

  • TEMOZORIX 100 INJECTION contains the active ingredient temozolomide, an antitumor agent used to treat brain cancer. Specifically, it is prescribed for adults with glioblastoma multiforme and for patients older than three years with malignant glioma, including glioblastoma multiforme or anaplastic astrocytoma. These are aggressive brain cancers with typically low survival rates. TEMOZORIX 100 INJECTION is used after a biopsy for anaplastic astrocytoma, either alone or alongside radiotherapy. For glioblastoma multiforme, it's used in combination with radiotherapy, followed by continuation as maintenance therapy.
  • Common side effects associated with TEMOZORIX 100 INJECTION include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, diarrhea, constipation, hair loss, skin rashes, fatigue, frequent urination, vision and hearing impairments, elevated blood sugar levels, muscle damage, muscle and joint pain, memory loss, coordination difficulties, infections, sleep disturbances, and weight loss. It's important to inform your doctor if any of these side effects become bothersome or persist. The medication can sometimes affect blood cell counts, requiring regular monitoring.
