About HYPONAT O 15MG TABLET 10'S
- The active component in Hyponat O Tablets is tolvaptan. It is used to treat low sodium levels in the blood that occur in diseases like heart disease and liver disease (liver cirrhosis), among others, when a reduction in fluid intake does not raise sodium levels in the blood. It functions by preventing the kidney from being affected by the hormone vasopressin, commonly known as an antidiuretic hormone. As a result, the kidneys are unable to properly absorb water, which causes an increase in urine production, a decrease in blood water levels, and a rise in sodium levels as a result. Some adverse effects of using this medication include dry mouth, excessive thirst, loose stools, headaches, and dizziness. You can take this medication even without food.
