How KARVOL PLUS CAPSULE 15'S Works

• Camphor and menthol activate cooling sensory receptors in the nasal passages, producing a sensation of eased airflow and providing a soothing effect on irritated tissue, even though they do not reduce swelling to the same degree the sensation might suggest.
• Eucalyptus oil (rich in eucalyptol) and terpineol are traditionally used for their decongestant and mild expectorant properties, helping to loosen mucus, while chlorothymol has traditionally been included for a mild antiseptic action within the formulation. Together, these aromatic oils are inhaled as vapour to ease the discomfort of a blocked nose.

A mild burning or stinging sensation in the nasal passages, a temporary increase in nasal discharge, and sneezing are the most commonly reported effects. An allergic reaction, such as a rash, itching or swelling, is uncommon but needs immediate medical attention if breathing difficulty occurs. Wheezing or a tight chest during use needs prompt medical attention, particularly in anyone with asthma.

• If you miss a dose of Karvol Plus Capsule, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.

• Store the capsules in their original pack, at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture, and out of the reach of children and pets.

• Use for inhalation or external application only; never swallow the contents
• Keep well away from the eyes and broken or irritated skin
• Use with caution, and stop if wheezing or chest tightness occurs, in anyone with asthma
• Keep out of the sight and reach of children at all times
• Seek medical evaluation if congestion persists beyond a few days or is accompanied by fever, chest pain or breathing difficulty
