Most side effects are temporary and naturally resolve as your body adapts to the medication. If side effects persist or cause concern, please consult your doctor.

Other Medical Conditions
Use with cautionNebzmart G, due to its anticholinergic action, should be used carefully in patients with narrow-angle glaucoma, bladder outlet obstruction, benign prostatic hyperplasia, or a history of urinary retention, as it may exacerbate these conditions.
No, NEBZMART G SMARTULES 2 ML is not a steroid. It belongs to a group of medicines called bronchodilators which are used to widen the airway of the respiratory tract. They also help to ease the breathing process in patients with breathing difficulties due to a certain type of lung disease like obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
The length of time depends on the severity and type of disease. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a long-term disease and you need to take this medicine every day as directed by the doctor to prevent attacks of breathing difficulty. It is to be taken regularly and not only when you have breathing problems or other symptoms of COPD.
Inhalational NEBZMART G SMARTULES 2 ML can lead to retention of urine and difficulty of urination in old age individuals. It is more common in men with enlarged prostate or benign enlargement of prostate. This condition can cause difficulty in urination or painful urination or frequent urination or dribbling of urine. Inform the doctor if you already have any such problems before starting the treatment or if you experienced any problems during the treatment.
Inhaling NEBZMART G SMARTULES 2 ML can lead to blurred vision and can even cause acute narrow-angle glaucoma. This medicine can cause pain in the eye or discomfort, nausea or vomiting, blurred vision, seeing halos or bright colors around lights, and red eyes. Immediately stop taking this medicine and contact the doctor if you encounter any of these symptoms.
Nebzmart G is a branded inhalation solution used via a nebulizer for maintenance treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in appropriate patients. Its active ingredient is glycopyrrolate, a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA) that acts as an anticholinergic bronchodilator. It helps keep the airways open by relaxing the smooth muscles in the bronchial tree.
Nebzmart G is primarily used as a maintenance therapy in adults with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It is intended to improve airflow, reduce symptoms such as chronic cough and breathlessness, and help decrease the frequency of COPD exacerbations when used regularly as prescribed. It is not indicated for the rapid relief of acute asthma or sudden bronchospasm.
Glycopyrrolate is a long-acting muscarinic antagonist. It blocks muscarinic receptors, particularly M3 receptors, in the airway smooth muscle. By inhibiting the action of acetylcholine at these receptors, it reduces bronchial smooth muscle contraction and leads to sustained bronchodilation. This mechanism helps to keep the airways open over many hours, improving airflow and reducing COPD symptoms when used regularly.
Nebzmart G should not be used for the rapid relief of sudden shortness of breath, acute asthma attacks, or acute COPD exacerbations. It is a maintenance bronchodilator with a relatively slow onset compared with short-acting rescue medicines. For acute episodes of breathlessness, a short-acting bronchodilator (such as a short-acting beta2-agonist) prescribed by a healthcare professional should be used. Patients should have a clear action plan for managing acute symptoms.
The safety and efficacy of glycopyrrolate nebulizer solutions such as Nebzmart G may not be well established in all pediatric age groups. Use in children should only occur under the supervision of a pediatric pulmonologist or other specialist who is familiar with the available evidence and regulatory approvals in the relevant region. Parents or caregivers should not use Nebzmart G in children without explicit medical advice.
Common side effects associated with glycopyrrolate-containing inhalation products include dry mouth, throat irritation, cough, headache, and sometimes constipation. Some patients may experience urinary retention or difficulty passing urine, particularly older men with prostate enlargement or bladder outlet obstruction. Less commonly, blurred vision, eye discomfort, or worsening of narrow-angle glaucoma can occur. Any persistent or severe symptoms should be reported to a healthcare professional.
Nebzmart G should be used with caution in patients with severe renal impairment, bladder outlet obstruction, benign prostatic hyperplasia, narrow-angle glaucoma, certain cardiovascular conditions, or a history of severe hypersensitivity to anticholinergic drugs. Individuals with known allergy to glycopyrrolate or any component of the formulation should not use it. A full medical history, including current medications, should be reviewed by the prescribing clinician before starting therapy.
There is no well-established direct interaction between glycopyrrolate and moderate alcohol intake. However, alcohol can worsen dizziness, impair judgment, and aggravate underlying respiratory or cardiovascular conditions. Patients with COPD are generally advised to limit alcohol consumption. Anyone who notices increased dizziness, drowsiness, or worsening breathing after drinking alcohol while on Nebzmart G should discuss this with their doctor and consider reducing or avoiding alcohol.
Data on the use of nebulized glycopyrrolate such as Nebzmart G in pregnancy and breastfeeding are limited. Animal studies with anticholinergic agents do not always predict human risk. In pregnancy, Nebzmart G should only be used if the expected benefit to the mother clearly outweighs any potential risk to the fetus, as determined by the treating physician. During breastfeeding, it is not known to what extent glycopyrrolate passes into human milk. A clinician may recommend either using an alternative therapy with more established safety data or monitoring the infant for possible anticholinergic effects if Nebzmart G is considered necessary.
If a dose of Nebzmart G is missed, it should generally be taken as soon as the patient remembers, unless it is almost time for the next scheduled dose. In that case, the missed dose should be skipped and the regular dosing schedule resumed. Patients should not double the dose to make up for a missed one. Any pattern of frequent missed doses should be discussed with a healthcare professional to address adherence or adjust the treatment plan if needed.
Nebzmart G may have additive anticholinergic effects if used together with other anticholinergic medicines, including some inhalers, oral medications for overactive bladder, or certain gastrointestinal antispasmodics. This can increase the risk of side effects such as dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, and urinary retention. It is often used in combination with other classes of inhaled drugs, such as long-acting beta2-agonists or inhaled corticosteroids, but such combinations should be specifically recommended and monitored by a clinician. Patients should provide a complete list of all prescription, over-the-counter, and herbal products to their healthcare provider.
Nebzmart G unit-dose vials should be stored according to the instructions on the product label, typically at room temperature away from excessive heat, moisture, and direct light. The vials should remain in their original packaging until use to protect them from light. Each vial is intended for single use only; any remaining solution after nebulization should be discarded and not saved for later. The nebulizer equipment should be cleaned and dried as per the manufacturer’s instructions to maintain hygiene and ensure consistent drug delivery.
