Contraindicated in known allergyNimeson P must not be used in individuals with a known allergy to nimesulide, paracetamol, other NSAIDs, or any excipient present in the formulation.
NIMESON P TABLET 10'S is used for the relief of pain and fever associated with various conditions such as headache, toothache, menstrual cramps, muscle pain, joint pain, and pain due to arthritis.
The active ingredients in NIMESON P TABLET 10'S are NIMESULIDE and Paracetamol (also known as Acetaminophen).
NIMESON P TABLET 10'S works by blocking the production of prostaglandins, which are responsible for pain and inflammation. Paracetamol, on the other hand, works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins in the brain.
The recommended dosage of NIMESON P TABLET 10'S for adults is one tablet, up to 2-3 times a day, depending on the severity of pain or fever. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 3 tablets. The dosage for children is based on their weight and age.
Yes, NIMESON P TABLET 10'S should be taken with or after food to reduce the risk of stomach upset or nausea.
If you miss a dose of NIMESON P TABLET 10'S, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.
If you accidentally take more than the recommended dose of NIMESON P TABLET 10'S, seek immediate medical attention, as it can increase the risk of side effects.
Some of the common side effects of NIMESON P TABLET 10'S include stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and headache. In rare cases, it can cause severe skin reactions and liver damage.
It is important to Consult your doctor with a healthcare professional before taking NIMESON P TABLET 10'S during pregnancy and BreastFeeding, as it can have potential risks.
The dosage of NIMESON P TABLET 10'S for children is based on their weight and age, and it is important to Consult your doctor with a healthcare professional before giving this medication to a child.
Nimeson P is generally used for short‑term relief of mild to moderate pain and fever. It may be prescribed for conditions such as headache, toothache, musculoskeletal pain, painful periods, and pain associated with minor injuries or inflammatory conditions. It should only be used under medical supervision and is not intended for long‑term or chronic pain management.
Nimeson P usually contains nimesulide and paracetamol. Nimesulide is a non‑steroidal anti‑inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces pain and inflammation by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins. Paracetamol reduces pain and fever mainly by acting on the central nervous system and also by decreasing prostaglandin production. Together, they provide combined analgesic and antipyretic effects.
Use of Nimeson P in patients with liver disease or a history of liver problems is generally not recommended unless a doctor specifically decides that the potential benefit outweighs the risk. Nimesulide has been associated with liver toxicity, and paracetamol is also metabolized by the liver. If you have hepatitis, cirrhosis, fatty liver disease, or abnormal liver tests, you must inform your doctor before taking this medicine. Treatment, if considered, should be closely monitored and for the shortest possible duration, or an alternative medicine may be chosen.
Patients with mild to moderate kidney impairment should use Nimeson P cautiously and only under medical supervision, as both nimesulide and paracetamol can affect kidney function, especially when used in higher doses or for prolonged periods. In severe kidney disease or in patients on dialysis, this medicine may be contraindicated or require significant adjustment and close monitoring. Always inform your doctor about any kidney problems before starting Nimeson P.
Nimeson P is generally not recommended during pregnancy, particularly in the third trimester, because NSAIDs like nimesulide may affect the fetal heart and blood circulation and can complicate labor. Paracetamol alone is usually preferred for pain and fever in pregnancy when needed and at the lowest effective dose. If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or suspect you might be pregnant, consult your doctor before taking Nimeson P. Do not self‑medicate with this combination during pregnancy.
Paracetamol is generally considered compatible with breastfeeding when used at recommended doses, but nimesulide is not well studied in lactating women and may pass into breast milk. Because of the potential risk to the nursing infant, Nimeson P is usually avoided during breastfeeding unless your doctor decides that the benefit to the mother outweighs the possible risk to the baby. If prescribed, it should be used for the shortest duration, and the infant should be observed for any unusual symptoms.
Nimeson P may cause side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, or visual disturbances in some individuals. If you experience any of these symptoms after taking the medicine, you should avoid driving, operating heavy machinery, or performing tasks that require full alertness. If you feel normal and do not have such side effects, you may drive, but always be cautious when taking a new medicine for the first time.
Alcohol consumption should be avoided or kept to a minimum while taking Nimeson P. Both alcohol and paracetamol can stress the liver, and nimesulide may further increase the risk of liver injury and stomach irritation. Combining alcohol with this medicine can raise the likelihood of liver damage, gastrointestinal bleeding, and other adverse effects. If you regularly consume alcohol, inform your doctor before using Nimeson P.
If you have a known allergy to nimesulide, paracetamol, other NSAIDs such as ibuprofen or diclofenac, or any component of Nimeson P, you must not take this medicine. Signs of an allergic reaction can include rash, itching, swelling of the face, lips, or throat, difficulty breathing, or severe dizziness. If you develop any of these symptoms after taking a dose, stop the medicine immediately and seek emergency medical care. Inform your doctor about all past drug allergies so that a safer alternative can be prescribed.
You should not combine Nimeson P with other medicines that contain paracetamol or nimesulide, as this increases the risk of overdose and side effects. Combining it with other NSAIDs, such as ibuprofen, naproxen, or aspirin (in pain‑relief doses), is also generally discouraged unless specifically advised by a doctor. Many cold and flu preparations already contain paracetamol, so always read labels carefully and consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking additional over‑the‑counter products.
Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, heartburn, diarrhea, constipation, dizziness, or headache. These are usually mild and temporary. However, serious side effects can occur, such as signs of liver damage (yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, severe fatigue, persistent nausea), severe abdominal pain, blood in vomit or stools, breathing difficulty, or severe skin reactions. If you notice any serious or unusual symptoms, stop taking the medicine and seek medical attention promptly.
