Allergies
UnsafeDo not take if you have a known allergy to etoricoxib, paracetamol, or other NSAIDs.
Nucoxia P Tablet is primarily used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with conditions like osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute gout, and musculoskeletal pain. It also helps in reducing fever.
Nucoxia P Tablet contains two active ingredients: Etoricoxib and Paracetamol (Acetaminophen).
Etoricoxib, a selective COX-2 inhibitor, reduces pain and inflammation by blocking certain chemical messengers in the body. Paracetamol is a pain reliever and fever reducer that works by inhibiting the release of pain and fever-causing chemicals in the brain.
The dosage of Nucoxia P Tablet depends on the condition being treated and the patient's response. It is crucial to follow your doctor's prescribed dosage and not to exceed it. Generally, it is taken once or twice daily.
Yes, it is generally recommended to take Nucoxia P Tablet with food or milk to minimize stomach upset and irritation.
Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, indigestion, diarrhea, constipation, dizziness, headache, swelling of ankles/feet (edema), and increased blood pressure.
Serious side effects, though rare, can include severe allergic reactions, liver damage (especially with high doses of Paracetamol), kidney problems, gastrointestinal bleeding, and cardiovascular events like heart attack or stroke. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe symptoms.
Nucoxia P Tablet should be avoided by individuals with a history of allergic reactions to Etoricoxib or Paracetamol, severe heart disease, kidney or liver failure, active stomach ulcers or bleeding, inflammatory bowel disease, or those who have recently undergone bypass surgery.
Nucoxia P Tablet is generally not recommended during pregnancy, especially in the last trimester, due to potential risks to the unborn baby. It should be used with caution during breastfeeding, only if clearly necessary and under medical supervision, as components might pass into breast milk. Always consult your doctor.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it's almost time for your next scheduled dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
Symptoms of overdose can include severe stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, and liver damage (which may show delayed symptoms like yellowing of skin/eyes). In case of a suspected overdose, seek immediate medical emergency help.
It is generally advised to avoid or limit alcohol consumption while taking Nucoxia P Tablet. Alcohol can increase the risk of stomach upset, liver damage (especially with Paracetamol), and other side effects.
Yes, Nucoxia P Tablet can interact with certain medications, including blood thinners (e.g., Warfarin), diuretics, ACE inhibitors, lithium, methotrexate, and other NSAIDs. Always inform your doctor about all medications and supplements you are taking.
Store Nucoxia P Tablet at room temperature (below 30°C), away from direct light and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
The pain-relieving effect of Nucoxia P Tablet usually starts within 30 minutes to 1 hour after administration. However, the full therapeutic effect for inflammatory conditions might take a few days.
Yes, patients with pre-existing kidney or liver conditions should use Nucoxia P Tablet with extreme caution and only under strict medical supervision. Dosage adjustments may be necessary, and regular monitoring of kidney/liver function is advised, as both ingredients can affect these organs.
Yes, medications containing a combination of Etoricoxib and Paracetamol are available under various brand names from different manufacturers. You can ask your pharmacist or doctor about generic alternatives or other brands with the same active ingredients.
