How PREVENT N TABLET 10'S Works

• Norethisterone is a synthetic progestogen. It binds progesterone receptors in reproductive tissues and affects the endometrium, the lining of the uterus. Depending on the treatment plan and timing in the cycle, this can change bleeding. The effect is temporary and does not correct every underlying cause of abnormal bleeding.

Headache, nausea, breast tenderness, bloating, mood changes and spotting or other changes in bleeding can occur. Fluid retention and changes in skin or appetite are also reported. Blood clots are uncommon but serious. Sudden breathlessness, chest pain, one-sided leg swelling, severe headache or vision changes need urgent medical attention.
