The following side effects have been reported with Gliclazide (the active ingredient in TRI GLYCLAZAR 60MG SR TABLET 10'S). While not everyone will experience them, be aware of the possibilities: * **Common Side Effects:** * Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar): This is the most common side effect. Symptoms can include sweating, shakiness, dizziness, hunger, rapid heartbeat, headache, confusion, and blurred vision. Severe hypoglycemia can lead to loss of consciousness and seizures. * Gastrointestinal disturbances: Nausea, vomiting, indigestion, diarrhea, constipation, and abdominal pain. * **Uncommon Side Effects:** * Skin reactions: Rash, itching, hives, and other allergic skin reactions. * Changes in blood counts: In rare cases, gliclazide can cause a decrease in white blood cells (leukopenia), red blood cells (anemia), or platelets (thrombocytopenia). This can increase the risk of infection, fatigue, and bleeding. * Liver problems: Elevated liver enzymes, hepatitis (inflammation of the liver), and jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes) are rare but serious side effects. * Visual disturbances: Temporary visual disturbances may occur, especially at the beginning of treatment. * **Very Rare Side Effects:** * Severe skin reactions: Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis are very rare, but serious, skin reactions that require immediate medical attention. * Blood disorders: Agranulocytosis (a severe deficiency of white blood cells) and hemolytic anemia (destruction of red blood cells) are very rare. **Important Note:** This is not an exhaustive list. If you experience any unusual or concerning symptoms while taking TRI GLYCLAZAR 60MG SR TABLET 10'S, contact your doctor immediately.
