How WIKORYL AF SYRUP 75 ML Works

• Chlorpheniramine blocks histamine, a chemical involved in sneezing and nasal discharge. It can also slow alertness and cause dryness because it acts on other parts of the nervous system.
• Phenylephrine stimulates alpha receptors in blood vessels. In the nose, this narrows swollen blood vessels and can reduce congestion. The same action can raise blood pressure or cause palpitations in some people.

Chlorpheniramine can cause drowsiness, blurred vision, dry mouth, constipation and difficulty passing urine. Phenylephrine can cause headache, restlessness, sleep difficulty, raised blood pressure or a fast heartbeat. Severe palpitations, fainting, breathing difficulty or an allergic reaction needs prompt medical care.

• If you miss a dose of Wikoryl AF Syrup, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

• Keep the bottle closed, away from direct heat and out of the reach of children. Follow the storage conditions on the current Alembic pack. Do not use the syrup after its expiry date.
