LYNIDE 5MG CAPSULE 10'S belongs to a class of medications known as immunomodulatory agents. It contains lenalidomide as its active ingredient and is prescribed for adults diagnosed with multiple myeloma, mantle cell lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndrome, and follicular lymphoma. Multiple myeloma is a cancer affecting plasma cells, which are abundant in the bone marrow. These cancerous cells proliferate uncontrollably, accumulating within the bone marrow. While there's currently no cure for multiple myeloma, LYNIDE 5MG CAPSULE 10'S can help manage its symptoms and improve the patient's quality of life.
Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) encompasses a group of bone marrow disorders characterized by abnormal and dysfunctional blood cells. LYNIDE 5MG CAPSULE 10'S can help regulate blood cell production and improve their functionality. Mantle cell lymphoma is a less prevalent form of cancer impacting the lymph nodes, and Follicular lymphoma is a slow-progressing cancer affecting B cells, a type of white blood cell. LYNIDE 5MG CAPSULE 10'S can be used in the treatment of both diseases, aiming to control cancer progression and alleviate associated symptoms. This medication works by modulating the immune system and inhibiting the growth of cancerous cells.
Common side effects associated with LYNIDE 5MG CAPSULE 10'S may include nausea, diarrhea, constipation, muscle cramps, fatigue, fever, cough, headache, back pain, breathlessness, skin rashes, and thyroid or skin problems.
