About REDITUX RA 500MG INJECTION

  • REDITUX RA 500MG INJECTION contains the active ingredient rituximab. It's used to treat various conditions in adults, either alone or with other medications. These conditions include non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (cancer of white blood cells called B-lymphocytes) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (a common cancer affecting B-cells). It's also used with methotrexate to treat moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis (where the immune system attacks the joints). Additionally, it treats granulomatosis with polyangiitis or microscopic polyangiitis (inflammation of blood vessels affecting the lungs and kidneys) in adults and children 2 years and older. It can also treat moderate to severe pemphigus vulgaris (an autoimmune condition causing painful blisters on the skin, mouth, throat, nose, and genitals).
  • REDITUX RA 500MG INJECTION belongs to a class of medications called anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies. Avoid this injection if you're allergic to rituximab or any of its ingredients, have a weak immune system, or have an active, severe infection. Before starting treatment, tell your doctor if you have heart disease, heart failure, or breathing problems. Also, inform them if you've ever had a hepatitis B infection, as it can reactivate. Pregnancy and breastfeeding are not recommended while using this injection.
  • Common side effects of REDITUX RA 500MG INJECTION include blood infection, reduced red blood cells, dizziness, swelling in the face and body, itchy skin, diarrhea, increased sweating, and low or high blood pressure. Use effective contraception during treatment and for 12 months after the last dose if you are able to become pregnant. This medicine may cause severe infusion reactions during or within 24 hours of administration. Tell your doctor or nurse right away if you experience infusion reactions like increased blood pressure, chest pain, headache, trouble breathing, vomiting, skin rashes, or throat swelling.
