This medication is also used in the treatment of newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) CML in the chronic phase, and Ph+ acute lymphoblastic leukemia in patients who have shown resistance to other treatment approaches. Chronic Myeloid Leukemia is a type of blood cancer characterized by the excessive production of white blood cells due to alterations in the Philadelphia chromosome. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a common blood cancer in children, involves the rapid multiplication and prolonged survival of lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell.
DASAMAC 50 TABLET 60'S is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor. It works by blocking the activity of the abnormal protein that signals cancer cells to grow and multiply. By blocking this protein, dasatinib helps to slow down or stop the growth of cancer cells in chronic myeloid leukemia and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
