Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medical treatment. Although all medicines can cause side effects, not everyone will experience them. ABISAM 250MG TABLET 120'S may cause some side effects, including serious issues like muscle weakness, palpitations, lung irritation, liver failure, adrenal gland problems, abnormal heart rhythm, heart attack, changes in the electrocardiogram, severe allergic reactions (difficulty swallowing or breathing, swollen face, lips, tongue, or throat, itchy rash), and bone loss. Common side effects include fluid retention in legs or feet, low blood potassium, increased liver function test results, high blood pressure, urinary tract infection, diarrhea, high-fat levels in the blood, chest pain, irregular heartbeat, heart failure, rapid heart rate, severe infections, bone fracture, indigestion, blood in urine, and rash.
Pregnancy
UNSAFEABISAM 250MG TABLET 120'S is not indicated to be used during pregnancy. Women who are pregnant or who may become pregnant should not touch this medication without gloves.
ABISAM 250MG TABLET 120'S does not cure prostate cancer and it is used to treat prostate cancer which has spread to other parts of the body. It is usually given with steroid medication to lower the chances of side effects. This medication is prescribed at an early stage of the disorder and it is used along with testosterone lowering treatment.
ABISAM 250MG TABLET 120'S is not recommended in the patients with severe liver conditions as it can worsen the situation. Inform the doctor if the patient has liver disorders before taking this medication.
No, ABISAM 250MG TABLET 120'S is not the chemotherapy drug and it is the hormonal treatment used to treat prostate cancer. It prevents the production of testosterone thereby reducing the growth of prostate cancer.
There are no known significant interactions of ABISAM 250MG TABLET 120'S with other drugs.
Inform the doctor if the patient has any liver problems, blood pressure, heart disorders, diabetes and medication taken for different medical conditions before taking ABISAM 250MG TABLET 120'S. The medicine should be taken as prescribed by the doctor. This medication should be taken orally in an empty stomach. It should not be taken with food and swallow the tablet as a whole with water without breaking them. Food must be eaten at least 2 hours before taking the medication and the patient is advised to eat after 1hr after consuming the medication. Blood pressure, potassium levels, liver function tests should be monitored regularly while taking this medication.
