While Digene Gel Orange Syrup is generally well-tolerated, some individuals may experience mild side effects. Common side effects include constipation (especially with prolonged use), diarrhea (less common but possible), nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, and bloating or increased flatulence. Rarely, allergic reactions like rash or itching may occur. If any side effect persists or worsens, or if you experience severe symptoms like black, tarry stools, or confusion, consult your doctor immediately. This list is not exhaustive, and other side effects may occur.

Allergies
UnsafeDo not take Digene Gel Orange Syp if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.
Digene Gel Orange Syrup is primarily used to relieve symptoms of acidity, heartburn, indigestion, gas, and bloating.
It typically contains Aluminium Hydroxide, Magnesium Hydroxide, and Simethicone.
Aluminium Hydroxide and Magnesium Hydroxide are antacids that neutralize stomach acid, while Simethicone helps break down gas bubbles.
Usually, 1-2 teaspoonfuls (5-10 ml) after meals and at bedtime, or as directed by a physician.
It's generally considered safe, but it's always best to consult a doctor before taking any medication during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Common side effects can include constipation (due to Aluminium Hydroxide), diarrhea (due to Magnesium Hydroxide), and rarely, allergic reactions.
It should only be given to children under medical supervision, with the dosage adjusted according to age and weight.
Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Overdose symptoms can include severe diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting. Seek medical attention immediately if an overdose is suspected.
Yes, antacids can interfere with the absorption of certain medications (e.g., antibiotics like tetracyclines, iron supplements). It's advisable to take other medications at least 1-2 hours apart from Digene Gel.
It's generally for short-term relief. If symptoms persist for more than two weeks, consult a doctor as it may indicate a more serious underlying condition.
Some formulations may contain sugar. Diabetics should check the product label or consult their doctor before use. Sugar-free variants might be available.
Yes, Digene Gel is available in various flavors like Mint, Mixed Fruit, and Orange, and in different pack sizes (e.g., 170ml, 450ml).
Both provide similar relief from acidity and gas. The primary difference is the formulation (liquid vs. chewable tablet), which might affect onset of action for some individuals, though both are effective.
