Symptoms may include sweating, paleness, hunger, shakiness, anxiety, rapid heartbeat, headache, confusion, and difficulty concentrating. Severe hypoglycemia can lead to loss of consciousness and even seizures. * Gastrointestinal disturbances: Abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, diarrhea, and constipation. **Uncommon side effects (may affect up to 1 in 100 people):** * Visual disturbances: Blurred vision may occur, especially at the start of treatment. * Skin reactions: Rash, itching, hives, and redness. **Rare side effects (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people):** * Blood disorders: Decrease in the number of blood cells (e.g., platelets, white blood cells, red blood cells), which can cause bleeding, bruising, infections, or fatigue. These are generally reversible upon discontinuation of the drug. * Liver problems: Elevated liver enzymes, hepatitis (inflammation of the liver). In isolated cases, liver failure has been reported. **Very rare side effects (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people):** * Allergic reactions: Severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) can occur, including swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, difficulty breathing or swallowing, and a drop in blood pressure.
