How MANFORCE 100MG TABLET 4'S Works

• During sexual arousal, nerves in the penis release nitric oxide, which raises a messenger called cyclic GMP (cGMP) in the muscle of the penile blood vessels. cGMP relaxes this muscle so the spongy tissue fills with blood and an erection forms.
• The enzyme PDE5 breaks cGMP down again. Sildenafil blocks PDE5, so cGMP stays higher for longer and the erection response to stimulation is stronger. Without arousal, no nitric oxide is released, and sildenafil has nothing to amplify.

The most common effects in clinical studies were headache, flushing, indigestion, a blocked nose, dizziness, nausea and changes in vision. The vision changes include blurring and a blue tinge. These usually settle within hours. Sildenafil widens blood vessels and lowers blood pressure slightly. Heart attack, irregular heartbeat and stroke have been reported during or after sex, mostly in men who already had heart risk factors. Chest pain during sex needs emergency help, and nitrate medicines must not be given for it without telling the doctors about sildenafil. An erection lasting longer than four hours (priapism) is an emergency. Without prompt treatment it can cause permanent damage. Sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes, or sudden loss of hearing, also means stopping the tablets and seeing a doctor straight away.

• Take it no more than once in a day
• A heavy meal can delay the effect
• Sexual stimulation is still needed
• Seek urgent help for an erection lasting over four hours
• Stop and see a doctor for sudden loss of vision or hearing
• Tell the doctor about prostate or blood pressure tablets before starting
• Do not combine it with other erectile dysfunction medicines

• A heavy or high-fat meal slows absorption, so the effect starts later. Grapefruit juice can modestly raise sildenafil levels.
• Heavy drinking makes erections harder to achieve and can add to dizziness.
