How MOXIKIND CV 625MG TABLET 10'S Works

• Amoxicillin belongs to the beta-lactam class of antibiotics. It binds to proteins in the bacterial cell wall that are needed to build and maintain its structure, weakening the wall until the bacterial cell becomes unstable and breaks apart.
• Some bacteria defend themselves by producing beta-lactamase, an enzyme that breaks down amoxicillin before it can act. Clavulanic acid binds to and inactivates this enzyme, protecting amoxicillin so it can still reach its target and kill the bacteria. This combination extends amoxicillin's effectiveness to bacteria that would otherwise resist it alone.

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and skin rash are commonly reported, and a fungal (yeast) infection can occur since the antibiotic can also reduce normal, protective bacteria in the body. Indigestion, dizziness and headache have also been reported. A severe allergic reaction, facial or throat swelling, a widespread skin reaction, or yellowing of the skin or eyes need immediate medical attention. Persistent or bloody diarrhoea after starting this medicine should also be reported promptly, since it can be a sign of a more serious bowel reaction to the antibiotic.

• If you miss a dose of MOXIKIND CV 625MG TABLET 10'S, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to make up for the one you missed.

• Store the tablets in their original pack, away from moisture and direct sunlight, and out of the reach of children and pets. Keep them at room temperature. Do not use the tablets after the expiry date printed on the pack.

• Take the tablet at the start of a meal to improve absorption and reduce stomach upset
• Complete the full prescribed course, even if symptoms improve early
• Tell the prescriber about any penicillin allergy before starting
• Avoid alcohol, since it can add to nausea and dizziness
• Stay well hydrated throughout the course
• Seek urgent medical help for facial swelling, a widespread rash, breathing difficulty, or severe or bloody diarrhoea

• Moxikind CV is best taken at the start of a meal to improve absorption and reduce the chance of stomach upset. A large, high-fat meal around the time of dosing should be avoided, since it can delay absorption.
• Alcohol can add to the nausea and dizziness this medicine can cause and is best limited during treatment.
